Personality & Behavior
Green cheek conures are little clowns. These birds love to hang upside-down and clamor along the cage bars, just waiting for their owners interaction! They are perfect pets for children, as they are small enough for little hands to handle and are generally good-natured. Though, you should always use caution around birds and children, as any bird can bite. Thus, you should never leave any bird unattended around a child.
While green cheek conures are not known to be great talkers, some are capable of learning a few words and phrases. These birds are loved for their relative quietness compared to other types of conures. They are not as loud or as frequent in their calling, but they will make some noise, especially when they want to get your attention!
