Website Hosting Review

This week's review is on website hosting. For this review, I have chosen the webiste https://www.hostinger.com/ to base my review on.

Review Questions:

What is the hosting site name and URL you reviewed?

The site's name is Hostinger, and the url is https://www.hostinger.com/.

Does the site's home page validate?

No, on the home page there is a total of 197 validation errors/warnings.

If you were to have your own website, what would the domain name be?

If I would have a domain for a portfolio website, I'd like the name to be annadetienne.com because I feel like it would be the easiest for a potential employer to recall and look back at for reference because it's my first and last name stated on my resume, with a .com address. The only downside I can see is that this is probably a pretty basic/cookie cutter thing to do for portfolio urls and I wouldn't stand out much in that aspect.

Using the hosting website, document which of your top 3 preferred domains are available.

My top three domains that are available are annadetienne.com, anna.site, and annadetienne.me

How would you rate the site's design, on a scale of 1(horrible) to 10 (fantastic)? Why?

I would give the site a rating of 7 for design. I'm just not a fan of sites that have really long scrolling home pages, but it's probably just a personal preference. Other than that one design aspect, however, I do like the style/theme and I feel like it has a very aesthetically pleasing look.

How would you rate the site's usability on a scale of 1 (horrible) to 10 (fantastic)? Why?

I'd give the site a rating of 10 for usability. All the really important information is easy to find in the nav bar, and any questions I had about the service I could easily find with minimal browsing.
